Week 8 - Challenge 5 - Core & Cavity Design

ABSTRACT:

To Create the Core and cavity blocks for the switch bezel designed in the earlier challenge.

PROCEDURE:

For the given switch bezel the core and cavity was created by using the parting surface of the given switch bezel.

• first the direction for the tooling axis was determined and then the base area was extracted using multipe extract option.
• after creating the extract the pointshould be inserted to the surface for determining the axis.
• 
• intersection between the side walls taken and then line was inserted to the intersection line and centre line was created by the line bisecting method. bisecting lines are the lines which ill be created between two line bisecting them and it is the major key factor in creating the tooling axis.
• After that bisecting line was created in Y direction and then the line was angled to 5 degree to optain the draft results.
• After that the tooling lineis created using the line bisecting option. In that option the x line and the y line was selected with the point1. that line as the tooling axis for the switch bezel.
