Week 8 - Challenge 5 - Core & Cavity Design
CREATION OF DRAFT ANALYSIS , CORE AND CAVITY DESIGN OF SWITCH BEZEL
1.DRAFT ANALYSIS
- the solid body is drafty analysed using the main tooling axis

2.CORE AND CAVITY
PARTING LINE:
- it is the line where the core and cavity closes and the parting line is always kept on the b side to ensute the asthetic outer remain undisturbed by the tooling
- because while core and cavity closes the molten plastic escaped through the parting line and it needs further cutting and when it is in the b side cutting may not be required eventhough the cutting is made the asthetic appearance of the product is not afferted

CORE:
- this is the above block which usually have protrution to compress the platic and it moves up and down
- here first a rectangle intesecting the class b outer body is created and
- for core the class a class c joined and class b is trimmed in other direction
- finally the rectangel is trimmed and the open phase is filled
- then finally the closed surface is made solid by closed body

CAVITY
- this is the depression phase where the block has the depression of the class b
- same procedure as core but here the rectrangle is trimmed with the b class alone and the open phase is filled
- then finally the closed surface is created into body by using the closed body option
