Week 8 - Challenge 5 - Core & Cavity Design
Firstly we have to create the tooling axis for which check the surface quality by using boundary option.
Extract the surface & create the point with point on the surface option.
Create the sketch by taking the bisecting line option.
Creating second sketch at angle(change angle accordingly which clears the draft angle).
In line comment, create the bisecting line with the help of bisect line option.
Run the draft analysis to ensure all the surface clearing the draft angle.
Class B Surface:
By using the class A surface extract the plain surface only untrim it as reqiured, extrapolate to form surface.
Class C surface:
By extract the Class A surface at its boundary line & sweep with draft direction option & maintain angle at three degree. Make it as two part to avoid reduce errors.
Combine the both part with the help of trimming option.
Solid creation:
Using closed surface to form a solid part.
Run the draft analysis to ensure all the solid part clearing the draft angle(minimum draft anlge at 2.9 degree).
Mould cavity Design:
Extract the boundary of class A & extrapolate it with reference to class A to expand the surface.
Trim accordingly to form a parting surface & extract the inner boundary of parting surface to form a parting line.
Core Design:
Create a sketch (rectangle) with a formal easy shape to reduce the complicity of mold.
Extrude the sketch as required, trim the surface with parting surface to form & close it with fill option, do join operation to foam a closed surface.
To form a solid Core part.
Cavity Design:
Create a sketch (rectangle) with a formal easy shape to reduce the complicity of mold.
Extrude the sketch as required, trim the surface with parting surface to form & close it with fill option, do join operation to foam a closed surface.
To form a solid Cavity part.
