Week 8 - Challenge 4 - Bumper
- Report on draft analysis
DRAFT ANALYSIS
The work specimen was a bumper of the car. A class A surface was given with which an appropriate tooling axis was found. Then Class B and C surface were created satisfying the draft conditions.
First, different section methods in XY, YZ and ZX planes were performed to find the appropriate tooling axis, And some small edges failed. Finally, random lines were used as the tooling axis and found that the X axis is a perfect tooling axis.

Here the blue line represents a previously failed tooling axis that bisects the two planes' tooling axis.
RESULT
A tooling axis was created, which satisfies the minimum draft angle with all the surfaces. - Draft analysis of the solid.

- Final solid obtained by 'close surface'
