Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Coin Holder Design
PROJECT
COIN HOLDER
Aim:
To create the coin Holder of Automotive Plastic Component through a given input Class A Surface and Tooling axis to Draft Analysis on the A surface and final plastic component.
REPORT:
Coin Holder:
Class A Surface:
- To continue with the design process first we need to find out the tooling axis for the surface and check for all the drafts using the Draft Analysis tool in CATIA.
- And Publicize the A surface.

Tooling Axis:
- Extract the Flat surface from A Surface Create a point (Coordinates) 0mm and Create a Line - Point To Direction click on the point and take a reference as Y axis and give some color and make it a dashed line.
- Take a draft analysis with A surface in positive it’s fully green.
- And same thing check with Final analysis in finished solid component it’s seems little deviation that’s fine.
- And Publicate the Tooling Axis.

Class B Surface:
- Separatly did Offset the A Surface And Untrim it after extrapolate it and give the fillet radius measure from A surface to Find it to apply.
- Then Publicize the B-Surface.

Class C Surface:
- Unhide the A Surface to Take a boundary as a reference to make C surface.
- Go to sweep line-> with Reference Surface 90 degree draft angle.
- Then Publicize it.

Class C & Class A:
- Join the Class C surface and Class A surface.
- But I'VE Got The Draft Analysis Like this Below shown in the pictures.

Final trim:
- Take a Joined Class C Surface And A Surface to Trim with B Surface to make it as a Closed Surface Body.
- Then Analyze the Draft with the final Trim.
- Publicize it.

Part Body:
- Go To Part WorkBench-> Close Surface To Make a Solid Body.
- It is a final output and then publicize it.

Conclusion:
The report of 'Coin Holder' Automotive plastic Component of the Project Is Done By Myself and thank you!.
