Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Coin Holder Design
COIN HOLDER DESIGN :-
Aim-
Create the Coin Holder Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model. Take the thickness of the component to be 2.5MM.
Given Class A Surface-

Tooling Axis-
As we acn see there is no hole on part and all 4 sides are in prity angle. So we acn take referance the UP or DOWN both side for tooling axis. Here we are considering base of coin hoilder on the core part. So according to that oriantation we will take two intersection line with perpendicular plane.
On XY Plane-

On ZY Plane-

Then create line along less angled(with the line that is perpendicular to plane) surface for both inside and outside walls. And make bisecting line with them. Do that process untill one bisecting line achived for one plane. After that create another bisecting line with those bisecting lines of each plane. And this will be the tooling axis.

Class B Surface-
By extracting all surface seperatly, untrim thaem. After that offset all of them backward for 2.5MM to achive proper thickness. Then by extrapolatring thaem trim all the sutfaces accordingly to get proper shape. Make sure after final trimming there is no open edges.

Class C Surface-
Extract the Class A Surface boundery. Then using SWEEP command make the C surface with 90 deg. angle and referance of class A surface. Adjust angle with 0.01 dig. if required to touch with class B surface. But make sure that no trim operation will be done with class A surface.
