Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Coin Holder Design
AIM : To Create the Coin Holder Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model.
PROCEDURE :
- Class A Surface was provided to us in which we used boundary command to ensure there is no gap in it.

- The tooling axis is created by creating a point at middle of the base surface and create an axis with respect to that point then define the tooling axis using the intersect method by creating a bisecting line which is by the way created by spiltting the profile in two ways.

CREATION OF B CLASS SURFACE
- By Ectracting, Untrimming and Extrapolating all the side walls of class A, and then trimmed it to the desired surface and then by offsetting it, we get the side walls of class B.

- With the same process which was used for side walls, we have created Base and Top walls as well and then we did the initial trim by using trim option to get the desired output for class B but without outer flange.

- As the Outer flange's surface is complex it can be divided into two parts and extract them, then did the extrapolation, offset, split and join operations and finally check the connectivity by intersecting method.

- Now, finally trimming the Outer flange and initial trim, we get the Class B surface.

CREATION OF CLASS C SURFACE
- By extracting the boundary with tangent continuity and then extracting the outer flange surfaces with no propagation. Then by using Sweep option and choosing that extracting curve and surface with reference surface with 90 deg angle we made the C surface.

- By joining the Class A and C surface and then by extrapolating the boundary part and then trimmimg it with earlier join operation, we get the desired output of 2.5mm thickness output.

DRAFT ANALYSIS :
- For draft analysis, we selected compass and then drag it and put it on the tooling axis. Locked the compass there and then examine it.
