Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Draft Analysis on a Fan Cover
Week 8- Challenge 1
Aim: To perform the draft analysis of fan cover for which the Catia part is provided.
Objective: Draft analysis is performed in order to finalize the component for manufacturing purpose.
Steps to create the draft analysis:
- First of all, the given Catia part file is analysed for checking the boundaries
- To create tooling axis, first of all, a dummy axis is created.
- After that, an axis system is created.
- With the help of the axis system, the intersections are drawn in x and y directions.
- After intersections, lines are drawn with the help of two lines of the intersection and then a bisecting line is drawn in between these two.
- With the help of these bisecting lines, a final bisecting line is created which is named as tooling axis
- After that, draft analysis is done and the safe value of green zone 3 degree is set.
Conclusion: With the help of this challenge , I learned about the draft analysis of the fan cover.
