Week-7 Head Impact

Aim: In this project, a children's headform model is provided. You are supposed to replicate a scenario where this headform will impact on a car bonnet. The bonnet should be considered as a rigidwall for the 1st case and while using the meshed hood model an elasto-plastic material card has to be used. From the simulation, the head impact coefficient must be calculated manually and with the help of LS-PrePost.

Procedure:

a)Simple_Head_Model.

1)Elastic material (001) and shell section is assigned to the part.

2)A rigidwall is created to allow the impact of the Model.

3)Node_Set_ID is created for the model to assign a velocity of 11mm/ms in positive X-direction.

Conclusion:

The simulation is executed, the head_model hits the rigidwall and retraces backward.

b)Head_Impact:

Same Procedure is followed for Pedestrian Headform model.

c)Car Bonnet:

Using the include keyword two file are brought together i.e, pedestrain Headform and Hood.

To organise Multi-include file model keywords *INCLUDE,*INCLUDE_TRANSFORM,*DEFINE_TRASFORMATION.
