Week 7 - Creating connection for Rear door

Rear door FE model

Aim: Now for the given Rear door FE model, Create and Apply different PIDs for different components. By using the same technique and the elements as shown in the video, Perform suitable connections. (No thickness need to be assigned to FE as intention is just to deploy connections)

Procedure:

Initial part :

Step1: To create set of PID for each part.

Step2: started connection making with RBE2 element

@door hinges;

@door handle

Step 3: @ weld spot

Step 4: RBE3-CRUSH-RBE3 connections, here I am unable to create the cbush id.

Learning Outcomes:

• Assign elements to the connections (like RBE2, RBE3-HEXA-RBE3,RBE3-CRUSH-RBE3.

Conclusion: final design with connections.
