Week 6:- Clamp Unit & Pin-Clamp Unit Design Challenge

NOTE-

1. CLAMP UNITS 1 TO 5 Are already desinged while submitting previous challenge. (Clamp and Rest Unit Design)

Here details about Swivel Clamp Unit are shown.

2. Software I am currently using is low version. It is creating some issues while saving.

Still I tried to save as much hardware as possible.

Same issue was discussed with mentors.

Kindly consider my submission.

Design 3 Different types of Swivel Clamp Unit with Different Riser, Blade, and Clamp Arm for the given Car Panel. Maintain the stroke as 100mm

Design a Pin-Clamp Unit for the given Car Panel.

--------------------------REPORT---------------------

1. Clamp Unit-3

Clamp Unit to clamp panel at two points.

Mylar cross section is 20 X 20 mm.

Swivel Cylinder , stroke 100 mm.

Based on stroke lemgth, pivot [oint is loacted at 50 mm offset.

Stopper is provided to resist the downward movement od clamp arm.

Two Rest mylars rested on blade. A blade is designe to connect cyllinder and riser.

L-Riser is designed with 100 mm width, 20 mm thickness.

2. Clamp Unit-2

This unot is a clamp - pin unit.

3 clamp points and 2 pin points are designed (1 round pin, 1 diamond pin).

for each mylar, 20 X 20 mm size.

Each pin is resting on pin retainer, with two directional shims.

design methodoogy for pin -

3 to 6 mm engangement disatance with panel.

Minimum 10 mm gap colar and panel.

Mylar points are taken to cover maximum area of panel with minimum 3 mylars.

rest mylars are fixed with spacer block , which is mounted on blade.

Blade id designed as per clamp arm and cylinder.

It is connecting cylinder and riser.

L -type riser is designed.

3. Clamp Unit-5

This unit is anothe pin-clamp unit.

3 clamp points and 2 pin points are designed.

For Every Swivel Cylinder, as stoke length is 100 mm, pivot point is 50 mm offset.

stopper is provided to rest clamp arm.

clamp arm, blade , spacer block and riser are designed to get proper support and thickness.

Also machining and availability if material section is considered.

All risers are provided M12 Bolts and M10 Dowel Pins.
