Week-4 Challenge WOT Condition Part-2
EV LIVE BATCH 21
QUES. 1
Powertrain Blockset in MATLAB provides two types of combustion engine models, namely, MAPPED & DYNAMIC
MAPPED
- It represents macro engine behavior as a set of look-up tables
- It represents brake torque, fuel flow, air mass flow, exhaust temperature, efficiency, and emissions) as functions of commanded load and measured engine speed.
- Suitable for analysis and design activities that do not require engine subsystem dynamic characteristics
- For example - in engine and transmission powertrain matching analysis for fuel economy, emissions, and performance tradeoffs.
DYNAMIC
- It decompose engine behavior into individual component models, intake airflow and turbocharger dynamics
- Dynamic engine models are suitable for designing control, estimator, and diagnostic algorithms that depend on dynamic subsystem states
- For example - in closed-loop AFR control algorithm development.
We can switch between engine model types based on our application, for example for a model having engine block,
- Open engine block
- open motor block, to find two combustion engines with one active,
- We right click the active block,
- And select variant,
- Variant has an option of Label Mode Active Choice,
- When selecting this we get two choices and we can decide which combustion engine we want to choose, MotMapped or MotDynamic.
