Week -2
- Make a Simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block with the following details:
Create a situation where the switch is closed for 2 seconds and then released. Observe the physical movement of the plunger.
Assume remaining parameters.
SIMULINK MODEL OF DOORBELL:

In the above Model, pulse generator is used to create a signal which moves at a duration of 2 seconds, it is connected to a switch via simulink-ps converter.
the circuit consists of battery, switch, and solenoid. an electrical reference is connected in the circuit. A solver configuration is also connected to make the circuit work properly.
the solenoid is working as the doorbell, it is connected to ideal translational motion sensor, and a mechanical translational reference.
The output of this circuit is given by SCOPE via PS-Simulink converter shown below:
RESULT:
The graph below shows the working of the doorbell for the total duration of 10 seconds,
when the switch is pressed for 2 seconds a variation in the signal occurs which causes the doorbell to ring.

2. Use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan as per the below conditions:
Temperature source: 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds
Fan conditions: ON if the temperature above 25 °C, OFF otherwise
SIMULINK MODEL OF THERMISTER:

In the above Simulink Model, a circuit is formed of Thermister, DC Voltage Source, and Resister(heater) in series, a Voltage Sensor is connected in parallel to the resister.
Voltage sensor sences the voltage in the circuit and sends the signal to the Switch, and Display.
Further, the output from the Switch is connected to a Fan ON/OFF and another Display.

On the Thermister side, it is connected to a Controlled Temperature Source, which is taking the input from Signal Builder via Simulink-PS Converter, and a solver configuration is connected to make it work effectively.
The Signal Builder is sending an Input to Fan as well.
The OUTPUT of the signal builder on FAN is shown below:
