Week-4 Challenge WOT Condition Part-2

NOTE: EV LIVE SESSION BATCH 16

Q.1)What is the difference between mapped and dynamic model of engine, motor and generator? How can you change model type?

ANS:

Mapped Model:

In The mapped model prebuild data is available in lookup table means we measure performance parameter of model by standard data which is available already

The calculations in this model is very fast but its less accurate

Dynamic Model:

In dynamic model we have to fed real time data to the model. Means user known value are given to model such as speed, toque to calculate performance parameter

The calculation in this model take time but its more accurate than mapped one

How can you change model type?

To change modul type right click on block then select varient and then select label mode active choice and select model you want from option by this way yoy can change model type.

as shown in fig below

Q.1)How does the model calculate miles per gallon? Which factors are considered to model fuel flow?

Ans:

FOR EV:

FOR HEV:

  • Above rating by environmental protection egency (EPE) for EV and for HEV
  • this is how much amount of fuel required to run 100 miles and compared to that in electrical vehical how much KWh required to run vehical 100 miles

Basically MPG calculated for find out efficiency

  • In our liquid fuel vehical the MPG is the calculated for in 1 galon of fuel how much distance in miles cover by the vehical

but in case of vehical which run on battery power this is done by converting this to equcvalent KWh energy

Below model shows that how this conversion take place.

  • The distance in meter is converted into miles by multiplying 0.000621371
  • And also meter converted into 100KM by dividing 100000
  • Same for battery consumption watt converted into KWatt by divide it by 1000 and then into KWh
  • This KWh then converted to US MPG by multipling of factor 33.7
  • And KWh converted to KWsec by deviding by3600
  • The flow rate converted to gallon by multiplying facor 0.000378541 as shown below fig
  • By integrated it calculate volume of fuel
  • And finally MPG calculated by distance in miles devided by gasoline in gallon

The following factor are concider to model fuel flow

1 speed of vehical

2 battery power
