1Q= Implement control logic of a “washing machine” using Stateflow as per given sequence:

  • If the power supply is available, the system gets activated
  • If the Water supply is not available, stop the process & indicate through LED
  • Soaking time should be 200s followed by Washing time of 100s.
  • Then rinsing happens for next 20s & dryer runs for 50s

After all the processes have completed turn on the finished LED

Ans=A washing machine is a machine that washes dirty clothes. It contains a barrel into which the clothes are placed. This barrel is filled with water, and then rotated very quickly by the use of a motor to make the water remove dirt from the clothes.

A washing machine (laundry machine, clothes washer, washer, or simply wash) is a home appliance used to wash laundry. The term is mostly applied to machines that use water as opposed to dry cleaning (which uses alternative cleaning fluids and is performed by specialist businesses) or ultrasonic cleaners. The user adds laundry detergent,

tool switch = The Manual Switch block is a toggle switch that selects one of its two inputs to pass through to the output. To toggle between inputs, double-click the block. You control the signal flow by setting the switch before you start the simulation or by changing the switch while the simulation is executing.

constant

The Constant block generates a real or complex constant value signal. Use this block to provide a constant signal input. The block generates scalar, vector, or matrix output, depending on:

  • The dimensionality of the Constant value parameter

  • The setting of the Interpret vector parameters as 1-D parameter

The output of the block has the same dimensions and elements as the Constant value parameter. If you specify for this parameter a vector that you want the block to interpret as a vector, select the Interpret vector parameters as 1-D check box. Otherwise, if you specify a vector for the Constant value parameter, the block treats that vector as a matrix

state flow chart

A Stateflow® chart is a graphical representation of a finite state machine consisting of states, transitions, and data. You can create a Stateflow chart to define how a MATLAB® algorithm or a Simulink® model reacts to external input signals, events, and time-based conditions.

lamp

The Lamp block displays a color that indicates the value of the connected signal. To configure the Lamp block to provide the information you need during simulation, specify one or more states, which pair a signal value with a color for the Lamp block to display.

display

The Display block shows the value of the input data. You can specify the frequency of the display. For numeric input data, you can also specify the format of display. If the block input is an array, you can resize the block vertically or horizontally to show more than just the first elemen

2Q= Make a Simulink chart for the “Gear shift” logic as per below conditions:

Speed Range(kmph) Gear

0 to 15 1

16 to 25 2

26 to 40 3

41 to 60 4

Above 61 5

Give speed input while the simulation is running & display the gear number.

Ans=The term gear stick mostly refers to the shift lever of a manual transmission, while in an automatic transmission, a similar lever is known as a gear selector.

The Chart is added from the Simulink library. In order to be able to give the speed input while the simulation is running, a Slider Gain block is added. To visualize the number of engaged gear,
