Week - 4

1. Washing Machine

Conditions: 1. Power on then System get Activated. 2. No Water then stop the process and Indicate through Led. 3. Soaking time=200s, Washing time=100s, Rinsing time=20s, Drying time=50s after all the process then the LED glows.

Blocks Used: Constant blocks for power and water, LED used to show the if the water is not available and Washing process is completed. A chart is used for an event-based system.

Chart

States used are Power, Soaking, Washing, Rinsing, Dryer, Led, Stop.

Poweron equal to 1 then the washing process will Start. constant 1 is connected poweron input data to start the process.

In a soaking state, x=0 has output data to show the processing state. After 200sec it enters into a washing State, X=1. After 100sec of washing it enter into a rinsing State, X=2. After 20sec of rinsing it enters into a dryer state. After 50sec of Drying it enters into Led state Y=1 output data then Lamp glows in green color.

if water is not available i.e, w input data is not equal to 1 then it enters into a stop state the lamp glows in red color.

The above graph shows the stages, Finished led, and error led.

2. Gear Shift

Condition:

Speed(Kmph) Gear
0 to 15 1
16 to 25 2
26 to 40 3
41 to 60 4
Above 61 5

Blocks used are Signal builders to generate a waveform(Shown below), Charts for Event-based systems, a Display that shows the gear number, and a gauge that shows speed value.

Chart

State are Gear1, Gear2, Gear3, Gear4, Gear5. The x(Output data) value is given 1 to 5 to show the gear number.

Gear1 State: If the speed rises more than 15kmph it will go to Gear2 state.

Gear2 State: If the speed rises more than 25kmph then it will go to Gear3 state or if the speed deduces less than 16kmph then it will go to Gear1 state.

Gear3 State: If the speed rises more than 40kmph then it will go to Gear4 state or if the speed deduced less than 26kmph then it will go to Gear2 state.

Gear4 State: If the speed rises more than 60kmph then it will go to Gear5 state or if the speed deduced less than 41kmph then it will go to Gear3 state.

Gear5 State: If the speed deduces less than 61kmph then it will go to Gear4 state.

Output: Graph Shows Input speed and gear output
