Project

Aim:

To prepare a technical report on Baja all-terrain vehicle ATV model

Blocks used in ATV models

Signal builder block used as a throttle input and brake at the time of starting.

Generic Engine Block is used to run a vehicle from a fuel like petrol or diesel here generic engine represents both the Spark ignition (petrol) engine and the Diesel engine.

The throttle input lies between 0 and 1 connected to the t port of the Generic engine block. If the engine speed falls below the Stall speed, the engine torque is blended to zero. If the engine speed exceeds the maximum speed, the simulation stops and issues an error message. The movement of the engine is sensed sensor and model parameterization is changed as Tabulated torque data. Data can be changed as per user requirements. In this model engine data is taken from the graph (which is shown below) through grabit.

Grabit is used to extract data points from the graph. following steps are taken to extract data points

1. Load the image

2. Calibrate by clicking then set min and max x axis and y axis value

3. Grap the point by selecting points from the graph

now the data points are shown in the workspace fig shown below

CVT Block

It has a subsystem with it. CVT stands for continuous Variable transmission.

In a Low ratio, the primary radius is the smallest as the Variator moves away, and the secondary radius is larger as the secondary variator moves closer In a high ratio primary radius increases as the Variator moves closer and the secondary radius becomes smaller as the variator move away

Cvt Primary and secondary is sensed by sensor shown through a scope.

Vehicle body

The vehicle body contains a two-axle vehicle body, 4 wheels, and a brake

velocity, distance, Brake, and throttle graph is shown through the scope.
