Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool

1.Using EV_defaults_in file and FTP drive cycle inside the Advisor tool the energy responce of vehicle is checked

Consider above vehicle is carrying 136kg default weight with FTP drive cycle then the vehicle will go upto 48.2km

Now the vehicle is carrying upto 500Kg with FTP drive cycle and the range of the vehicle is 41.4km

So the above electric ev will not go upto 45km carrying 500kg weight using FTP drive cycle

and we can conclude that by reducing the load vehicle can go more distance

2.Now by changing the battery range of above vehicle we will see the range of the vehicle with 500kg load and FTP drive cycle

when battery capacity 25modules of cell the vehicle reached 41.4km range and now the battery capacity is changed to 15modules

Now the distance travelled by the vehicle is 24.8km

battery capacity increased to 40modules that is shown below

vehicle travelled upto 64.5km with 500kg load and FTP drive cycle

By seeing above range of the vehicle when the battery capacity increases then only the vehicle will go more distance

3.Gradeabilty test for PRIUS_jpn_defaults_in is performed and the results are shown below

The test is done using speed of the vehicle and the result of max gadebility for different speed is checked

max.gradebilty of 1.7% the vehicle for 55mph=88.5kmph is shown above

that means with 1.7% of gradeability the car can achieve only 55mph max.speed

when the speed is raised to 70mph=112.7kmph then the car can travel road on having 0.9% of gradeability

that is shown below

when the speed is decreased to 30mph=48.3kmph then the car can travel on road having 2.5% of gradeability

that is shown below

By seeing above results,we can conclude that if the car has to travel on the road having more gradebility then speed of the vehicle will reduced and

as the gradebility of the road decreases we can go more speed
