Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
Question 1 Solution :
As asked in question for Load file( EV_defaults_in ) I have not changed the default paramters except the cargo weight. I have taken cargo weight of 500 kg.
which can be seen in folling picture.

By setting this window , The Advisor jumped to the page of drive cycle setting & I have selected here FTP Drive Cycle. After completion of simulation the
result data is shown as per below.

Running the FTP cycle for once It is clear from the result that the distance travelled for the cycle is 17.8 km. If we analyze the SOC (state of charge) plot than
after completion of 1st cycle still about 62% battery has remained. 45 km distance can be travel by the vehicle if we run the cycle 3 times but the battery might drained fully.
Lets try to simulate it for 3 nos. FTP cycle.

From above result we can see that before vehicle travels to 45 km the battery drains at 41.4 km, Thus we can conclude that the vehicle can not travel 45 km in single charge.
Question 2 Solution :
Changing the battery capacity as ESS_PB85 & running FTP cycle for 3 times The vehicle can able to travel 45 km & still battery capacity remains about 78%.

Also With default battery with increased no. of modules we are getting desired distance covered & still with remaining of 10%. So we can say that if we increase the number of battery module to 35 the state of charge capacity improves and more the distance can be covered.

Question 3 Solution :
Here I have simulated TOYOTA prius load file with all default conditions which have gradebility of 6%. as shown below.

by increasing the gradebilty to 12% (double) of default there is no significant changes in the output pattern. As one can see I have also increased gradebility to 100% but still the output has same
characteristics, I assume this is because of the toyota prius CVT (continuously variable ttransmission) arrangement.

Default Gradebility of 6%

Output for gradebility 6%

Setting gradebility 100%

Output for 100% gradebiility.
