ANSWER :1 In the ADVISOR tool input GUI select load file as EV_defaults_in file from the drop down menu .

also change the cargo mass to 500 kg in the bottom right corner of ADVISOR .

after this select 'continue' here from down botttom menu of drive cycle ,select CYC_FTP driving cycle.

then keeping all the parameter as default select RUN in the corner.

in this above results we can see that distance 17.8 km .so the vehicle can not travel a distance of 45 km in single recharge .also it can be see that second plot has follen to zero

after nearly 2500 second.

ANSWER :2 changing the energy stroage to ESS_PB65_FocusEV and keeping the other parameters similar to the last case.

then the driving cycle same

WE RUN the simulation.

this is results.

From the ressults we can see that, distance 17.8km and the figure has not changed but, SOC % at end of 2500second is 0.83 approx and not zero like the last case.

so this means that , FPT cycle it covered 17.8km and charge is still remaining in battery.

how much distance the vehicle will travel in a single charge we need to increase the no. of drive cycles for which the simulation is performed the simulation for 7 drive cycles .

change the value the of cycles value to 7 from 1 .

then RUN the simulation .

From the above results distance is 96 km and also the % of soc as indicated by second plots is 0%by 1300 second

approx 96km in single charge .

ANSWER :3 NOW select the PRIUS_jpn_defaults_in and rest of parameter are same .

then select continuse in the bottom , select Gradeability box and then select grade options.

the speed is kept as 55 mph.

then gradeability is 1.7%.

then change the speed is 45 mph.

then gradebility at 45 mph has increased to 2.2 %

Once again change the speed is 35 mph .

at this time gradebility is increased to 2.4 % .

so we can say that , as speed increases the gradebility decreases.
