1. For EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle? Conclude your observations.

solution:

.', For EV_defaults_in file, with FTP Drive cycle; when Cargo mass is 500 kg and rest of the parameters are constant.

Vehicle can travel inly 17.8 Km. (i.e. it cannot travel a distance of 45 Km).

2. In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.

solution:

From the above figure, we can conclude that after changing the battery capacity;

1. Battery Drained out but the Distance didn't Increased.
2. When the Battery module is increased, it covered a distance of 45 Km.

3. Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file

Compare your results in table and conclude.
