1) For the EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle? Conclude your observations.

FTP cycle can cover 11 miles in one cycle. Therefore it is then repeated for 5 cycle.

For the Cargo mass 500kg. The vehicle cannot cover 45km. Maximum Distance that can be covered by the vehicle under given conditions is 26km.

2) In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.

Comparing to previous condition, battery capacity is increased 100%(50V)

Simulation repeated for same cycle as previous condition

Distance travelled by the vehicle increases 70%

3) Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file

Prius Japan file is selected for gradability test

Gradeability test is carried out by varying different vehicle speed from 5 -50mph.

The above table shows that the vehicle has maximum Gradeability for given constraints at 10mph.
