1. To test the EV_defaults_in file, with the cargo mass is 500 kg can travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle?
The EV default car with the above condition can only travel up to the range of 41.3 km.
After applying the condition of cargo 500 kg,
The distance covered by the vehicle with one drive cycle FTP is 11.06 miles i.e 17.8 Km.
In this condition, the vehicle can travel upto 26.7 miles i.e, 41.3 Km.
If the vehicle wants to travel above 45 Km, the battery capacity needs to be increased and Energy density needs to be increased like using other chemical composition batteries (Lithium, Nickel, etc).

2. In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.
The battery modules count is increased from 25-35 with the above condition.
By increasing the battery capacity, the range of vehicle is increased from 26.7 miles to 29.8 miles i.e 48 Km.

3. Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file
Compare your results in table and conclude.
Gradeability = (Te/GW)*100
Te= tractive effort of car
GW=gross weight of car
From the formula, we can understand that change in tractive force(speed) can change the gradeability.
In the gradeabiltiy test keeping the grade and duration constant speed is varied.
i) The Speed is given as 55 mph
Then the gradeability is 8.9%
As like the previous case the speed changes as follow,
ii) The Speed is given as 45 mph. The gradeability is 10.7%
iii) The Speed is given as 35 mph. The gradeability is 13%
iv) The Speed is given as 25 mph. The gradeability is 16.5%
v) The Speed is given as 15 mph. The gradeability is 24.4%

From the above table we can conclude, As the speed increases the gradeability decreases.
