Doorbell model using solenoid block and thermistor used to find the temperature in a fan using Simulink
Study - 1:
AIM:
To construct a Simulink model for a doorbell using a solenoid block.
Objective:
The model to be designed for a situation where the switch is closed for 2 seconds and then released to Observing the physical movement of the plunger.
Model:

Construction:
The block used is a battery, Solenoid, ideal translational motion sensor, mechanical translational reference, solver configuration, switch, electrical translational reference, scope, and pulse generator are the following blocks used to model the doorbell ringing with the solenoid. Switch and the battery is connected with the solenoid where the motion sensor and it is connected with the solenoid of the port C and R. From the motion sensor the plunger position is found using the scope block. The mechanical and electrical reference block is given for both the mechanical and electrical blocks. A pulse generator is used as the input for the model.
Working:

In the pulse generator, the input is given to run the doorbell model where the switch is closed for 2 seconds and then released. So in the phase delay we have given 2 as the input and in period 4 secs is given and the respective is the pulse width. The scope is used to find the position of the plunger in the graph between the time plots. An ideal motion sensor is used to find the motion of the plunger in the solenoid.
Result:

The graph represents the soundwave that occurs with a time difference of 2 seconds which follows the given input in the pulse generator.

AIM:
To model a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan between the given temperature source.
Objective:
Temperature source is given as 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds, and fan conditions is given as ON if the temperature above 25 °C, OFF otherwise.
MODEL:

CONSTRUCTION:
The blocks used to construct are battery, thermistor, voltage sensor, switch, constants, signal builder, controlled temperature source, thermal reference, electrical reference, solver configuration, simulink-ps converter, scope, display are the following block used to build the model. The thermistor is connected with a voltage source where the thermistor is connected with the temperature source of which the signal builder is given initially with inputs. The switch acts here as if condition to switch ON/OFF by sensing the required value to which the scope is used to find the graphical representation.
WORKING:

In the above model the signal builder inputs given by plotting the points with respect to time and temperature. Before running the model to satisfy the if condition by using the switch to ON/OFF the fan a constant of 25 degrees Celcius is given as input wherein display a result is found the threshold value is given to the switch and then the signal builder is used. This the working of the model.
Result:

The graph shows the sine wave of the time and temperature with intervals which is given in the signal builder.
