Week -2

1) Simulation model for Door bell.

simulation block built in simulink.

Blocks used in this simulation:

Pulse generator- to generate input signal as per given condition.

Switch- so that circuit is close/ open according to pulse input.

Battery- to provide current into circuit.

Solinoid- to generate magnetic field.

Ideal translational motion sensor- to trace motion of metal arm.

Display- to display amount of current running in circuit while bell is ringing.

Scope- to get plot of input signal and output bell's metal arm movement/motion.

simulink to PS converter/ PS to simulink converter- to convert values into respective formats.

Electrical reference, Mechanical reference, solver configuration.

Pulse generator input:

Bell output metal arm motion:

Here pulse work as a human fingure to close circuit for 2 second so current run throughout the curcit and magnetic field is generated by solenoid due to which metal arm moves according to presence and absence of magnetic field and bell ring accordingly.

2) Thermistor block:

Simulation block built in simulink:

Blocks used in this simulation:

Signal builder- to give input as a temperature to temperature controller.

Controlled temperature source- to send one temperatire signal at a time.

Thermistor- to mesure temperature in a room/ area of fitting.

Battery- to provide electric supply.

Current sensor- to measure current in circuit.

Switch- to On/Off fan as per signal received from thermistor after sensing temperature in room.

Simulink to PS converter/ PS to simulink converter- to convert values into respective formats.

Display, Scope, electrical reference, constant.

Signal input through signal builder:

Here y -axis indicates temperature in "K", x- axis indicate time in "Sec"

Temperature signal are set in signal builder as 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds.

Output signal to fan:

we can see input and output signal are similar as per temperature condition.

Once temperature is sensed by thermistor i.e. 20°C fan will be off if temperature rises to 27°C it will send signal to switch to On fan further again temperature drops to 23°C now signal off will be sent to switch by thermistor.
