Week -2

Simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block

1. The pulse generator is used to create a pulse after every 2 seconds as shown in the graph below due to which switch is closed for 2 seconds and after that it is released.

2. The battery is connected to a solenoid switch which is connected to a switch which turn on and off after every 2 second. Electric reference is also provided between solenoid and switch.

3.After that the solenoid is connected to the ideal translational motion sensor . This sensor is used to show the movement of plunger.

4.Ps- simulink converter is used to show the movement of plunger from ideal translation motion sensor.

5. The output of the scope block after passing through the ps-simulink converter is given below.

Below are the problem faced

2. Use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan as per the below conditions

Temperature source: 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds

Fan conditions: ON if the temperature above 25 °C, OFF otherwise

Working

  1. Repeating sequence star is used to give the inputs

2. After that the inputs are passed to Simulink- ps converter, then it is passed to the controlled temperature source to which temperature source is also attached.

3. This controlled temperature-controlled source is connected to a thermistor which is further connected to a battery and resistor. The voltage sensor is also attached parallel to the resistor.

4.The voltage sensor is now connected to switch which is connected to constant block having value 1 and 0

5. Scope 1 and display are provided before switch and scope , display are provided after switch.
