Week -2

1.In solenoid block we can vary, spring constant and damper value is varied to analyse the performance of the       system. The simple working principle of door bel is that when switch is on, (i.e) battery is connected to the       solenoid.

• The Electromagnetic phenomena occur so that the plunger get attracted when battery is coonected and bel rings. If the battery is disconnected then there is no plunger movement and no ringing of bel. We give input to Solenoid from Pulse generator as a square pulse(i.e) 2 seconds for 1v and next 2 sec for 0v and goes on.
• Simulink-PS coverter is used to coonect to the switch. Switch is connected in series with battery. As battery and switch are electrical part we should but a elctrical referance.
• In the mechanical part, we should connect a transalation mechanical referance along with function block.
• Ideal Translation motion sensor is used to know the position of the pludger in solenoid.
• Scope is used to know the position along with the pulse input given.
• 2. In this we use some kind of rotational sensors, to change the thermal signal into mechanical rotational signal. We can give input from signal builders or repeated sequence stairs.
• Then we give some temperature source to a thermistor, So for enegizing the thermistor we give a battery along with resistor in series, then to set a thershold value for the switch we connect a voltmeter across the resistor.
• Later we connect a voltage source in series with the DC motor. To enegise the DC motor we connect battery already in themistor side.
• We also connect a ideal rotational motion sensor across it so to know the voltage source which is the angular velocity  and angle of the rotor in DC motor.
• Note: We connect reference for both mechanical and electrical loops. We also connect solver configuration in both thermistor as well as dc motor loop.
