Week 14 challenge
WEEK -14 CHALLENGE
BUTTERFLY VALVE ASSEMBLY
Aim:
To assemble the Butterfly valve and Apply GD&T symbols to the drawing sheet.
Overview:
A Butterfly valve is from a family of valves called quarter-turn valves. In operation, the valve is fully open or closed when the disc is rotated a quarter turn. The "butterfly" is a metal disc mounted on a rod. When the valve is closed, the disc is turned so that it completely blocks off the passageway. When the valve is fully open, the disc is rotated a quarter turn so that it allows an almost unrestricted passage of the fluid. The valve may also be opened incrementally to throttle flow.
For the Assemble of Butterfly valve initially we have to add all components in to the assembly file. After adding all components we have to move all components away inorder to understand it properly. Then we have to organbise each part according to its position using move command and then give assembly constraints to each component separetely.
After Assembling the 3D Model we have to give GD & T symbols to it in drawing sheet,For that go to Drafting in Application Tab.Then make the orientation view as required then give dimension with tolerances,Later give GD & T for the rest of the Projected View & Opposite view of first orientation as per required.
