Week 12- Final project
First the inital part file was downloaded and the part file was imported into an assembly file. After that the surface A was copied and pasted into indiviudal part files.
For the arm rest the surface was corrected before offsetting for b surface so that it does not create any problems when offsetting. After that the surface B was created and then following that the C surface was created. After the creation of the all the surfaces they were joined together for a final trim and then formed a close body. Then the draft analysis was done on the final body and the A surface.
The above processes was done again for the lower substrate, bottle holder and map pocket. Note that some drafts do not clear the minimum 3 degrees but was asked to submit it either way.
For the engineering of the heat stakes the lower substrate was taken and the points for creating the heat stakes. after the points were selected the first heat stake was drawn for outer dia 7.5mm and inner dia 4.5mm and then paded then the draft of .5 deg was added to the surfaces. After the fillet of .2mm was added then this heat stake was copied and pasted to the points created above.
Same was done for the 4 way locators as well. they were given a pad of 1.5 mm and then drafted to 0.5 degrees and then copied and pasted to theri respective points.
The dog house creation was done as per the design standards of the dog house creation and then checked of the draft analysis and also for the side core axis as well.
The flanges were created for every heat stake and 24 way locators and was designed as shown in the live sessions. The draft of 0.3 dgrees was added to the sides of the flange and was also added for the hole as well and then union tirimed it to the main body.
Before doing the union trim the draft analysis was done for the flanges and then union trimmed it to the main body.
