Week 12-Creation of 1D Connectors Challenge

AIM: Mesh and give connectors

Procedure:
1. Import IGES model from the portal ashown below.

2. Perform automesh for the given quality criteria and check for failed mesh to get corrected.

3. 1st Right Rail 2 & Front truss 1: Seam - Quad (angled+ Capped +L)

4. 2nd Left Rail 2 & Front truss 1: Quad elements

5. 3rd Front truss _2, Front truss _1 & Right Rail_1: Spot weld

6. 4th Front_truss_2, Front_truss_1 & Left Rail_1: Hexa (Adhesive)

7. 5th Rear_truss_2 & Right_Rail_2: Bolt Connector

8. 6th Rear_truss_2 & Left_Rail_2: Bolt Connector

9. 7th Right Rail _1 & Right_Rail_2: Spot-weld with Rigid elements

10. 8th Left Rail _1 & Left Rail _2 : Spot-weld (spring elements)

11. Rest of the component such as Reinf Plate and Rear Truss 1&2.

Outcome:
Learnt how to use connectors for weld, spring, bolt and others joints.
