Week 12 challenge

Objective:

to create a mold using the different components given by splitting into core and cavity.

Procedure:

In the previous challenge we created sliders for the component since there are many undercuts formed, we need to create ejector pins in order to separate cavity from the core.

Now we need to create ejector heads in order to remove the core from solid body

Now we need to sketch on the end of the ejector pins in order to form a solid square body as shown in the figure.

Now we need to boss extrude this sketch about 15mm for that to form a solid body.

in the cavity section we need to create a riser in which a molten material is inserted.

for the molten material to pass in the initial component we need to provide a runner from the riser so we created a runner As shown in the figure.

after the completion of the riser and the runner now we need to create air inlets in order to avoid shrinkage or warping of the component. first we created the component on the one side and then we use the option called mirror form the component on the other side.

Then we use direct option in which we subtracted the main body from the air inlet component to form the following figure.

Now we need to provide coolant channels In order to coolant to pass.

the final mold cavity are formed as shown in the figure.
