Week 11 - Project - A pillar Design with Master Section

1.  A PILLAR 

TOOLING AXIS 

tooling axis is taken from bisecting methods from line given in master section.

DRAFT ANALYSIS OF A SURFACE

draft angle of 3 degree is given to the A surface with respect to main tooling axis. the a surface is clearing with respet to tooling axis except the edge surface given.

dog house is created using the master section given in the cat file 

. create a profile with respect to the master section givn in the cat file using position sketch

.extrude the sketch and convert it into closed volume using thicken surface command 

. give 1.5 outside drafting with respect to main tooling axis and 0.5 inside drafting with reaspect to side core axis 

.create ribs and holes as per given dimensions and give proper drafting to them also.

finally add the dog house body to A pillar closed body.

create the correct tooling axis for the A surface given and perform draft analysis of 3 degree ,if it is clearing then create b surface and c surface with respect to the tooling axis and after final trim convert it into closed body using closed body command. check draft analysis of closed body for 3 degree minimum draft angle.

create dog house from the master section given and give draft angle to the respective surfaces created inside it and add dog houe to A pillar body.
