Week 10 - Challenge 2- Attachment Feature Creation (Dog House)

The given surface was analyzed completely. To locate the tooling axis, a point was created on the surface. Two planes were created at this point with reference to xy plane and yz plane. These planes were used to intersect the surface. Bisecting lines were created from the lines representing the walls of the surface, on each intersect curves. Finally the tooling axis was created by bisecting these two dummy axes.

To create the side core axis, the same point was used to locate. Since the dog house wall is open on one side along the x axis, the side core axis was created along the x axis.

For draft analysis, the compass was first aligned to the tooling axis, and then along the side corfe axis. The outer surfaces of the doghouses are supposed to clear along the tooling axis, whereas the inner surfaces of the doghouses should clear along the side core axis. All the surfaces cleared the draft analysis along their respective axis.
