Week 10:- 2D Detailing Challenge

Objective : 

1. To draft a key sheet for the complete fixture assembly created in challenge 8.

2. To draft a base unit and the fix pin unit drawings with all child parts for the complete fixture assembly from challenge 8.

Key sheet  of the complete fixture assembly

Keysheet is an index unit and shows the particular location of the units on tool base. Keysheets show the orthogonal, isometric view and BOM of the tool

Drafting a base unit and fix pin unit with all child parts for the complete fixture assembly.

• In fixture assembly there are three kind of part majorly manufactured, bought out parts and hardwares.
• Manufactured parts are those which taken from suppliers or vendors. Here we are detailing each and every child part of unit which is manufactured. Some manufacture parts are repeatedly used in multiple units. This reduces designing and drafting time drastically.
• Bought out parts are those which are purchased from catalogue. These are standard parts universally accepted and manufactured in bulk and stored. It has required less lead time. Also use of std. parts/ bought out parts also reduce drafting time as there no need to detail.
• Hardwares are standard parts and same std. followed everywhere. So no detailing required.
