1. Title of the project : Odd shaped enclosures
2. Objective : To design sheet metal part for odd enclosures using NX sheet metal application.
3. Intoduction : A solid body is created using modelling application and converted to sheet metal and additionally a few sheet metal features are added to the obtained required sheet metal design
4. Description :
1. Create a solid body in modelling application using modelling features.
2. Wrap the solid body with sheet metal using sheet metal from solid command in sheet metal application.
3. Add flange at an edge of the sheet metal
4. Select jog feature and add another bend on the other edge of the obtained sheet metal.
5. Unbend the sheet metal completely using unbend command to add more features.
6. Select bead feature to add beads on the sheet metal.
7. Add holes using the hole feature at desired points on the sheet metal.
8. Rebend the sheet metal in the reverse order of unbend using rebend feature.
9. Create flat pattern view using flat pattern command.
8. Conclusion : The sheet metal design is completed as per the specifications.
