Week 1: Channel flow simulation using CONVERGE CFD
Aim: To understand the flow throug a channel by conducting simulation in Converge.
Introduction: A channel is like a pipe throug which fluid (air) flows. As the fluid flows it creates a velocity profile that has a perticular shape due to the existnce of no-slip condition - zero velocity of flow near the surface.

Note: Post-processing was done in Converge after the simulation converged.

As the mesh gets finer the velocity profile becomes an even curve which gives us a good idea about the velocity profile that is created.
Simulation behavious for the given cases is shown in the videos below:
Case 3 with element size of 1e-4 shows great resolution and has better quality because of more number of cells.

Conclusion:
As the grid becomes finer we tend to get higer resolution at the cost of more time for convergence because of higher number of cells.
This simulation gives a basic introduction to internal flows and how the flow devlopes.
