Usage of Navigation tool , Timeliner and Clash Detection test using Naviswork
1) Use the Architecture/ Structure Project file developed by you in Week 6 to 8. Export the Revit architecture and structure model to Navisworks Cache file following the export settings discussed in class.
ANS.
STEP-1- Open the Naviswork Manage and open the file which you have saved in the week 6 to 8.

STEP-2: Now the exporting work get finished.

Step-3: Now the Revit file gets opended in the Naviswork Manage.

In the way we can export the any type of revit file ether its structural or Architectural in to the Naviswork and we can save them.

2) Use Navigate Tool to walk around the model and walk through the rooms created and record your moving as animation in your Navisworks file.
ANS.
Step1 : Open Architectural file which we have exported as Navis cache file into Navismanage then go to viewpoint tool and select save view option.

Step 2: Save the view with appropriate names as required. Now select the walk tool and click cursor or keybord front, left move to start the walk.

Step3 : Now go to the save view point and click on record and start walking to the direction which you need in the view and click or stop to stop the record.

We have succesfully used the Navigate tools to walk around the model and through the rooms created and records our moves with the help of above.

3) Use Navigate tool to use Realism feature to walk through the model and record your moving as animation in Navisworks file.
ANS.
Step-1: Open the Architectural file which we have exported as Navis cache file in to Naviswork manage then go to view point tool and select save view option.

Step-2: Go to the Realism and select the third person option and walk though the rooms and and the building and save the points.

Step-3: Go to view point and start the record and walk though the rooms or view which you need to view with the help of cursor or keyboard.

With the help of above steps we have use the realism fature and walked through the rooms and around the building and record the moving successfully.

4) Embed both architecture and structure *.nwc file to your Navisworks file. Create a clash detection test between the two models.
a. Run the Clash Detection Test.
b. Study the clashes between the two models.
c. List which of the clashes could be approved.
d. List which of the clashes could be neglected ( will be taken care later).
e. List which of the clashes can be resolved.
f. Save the results after color coding the clashes to the Navisworks file.
g. In case of resolution annotate the clash and save the view to defined views in Navisworks.
ANS.
Step-1: Open the Revit and save both Architectural and structural file as NWC and open them in Naviswork manage
Step-2: Open the Architectural file and append the structural file to it both the file got merged.

Step-3: click on clash detective in the home tab.

Step-4: Clash detective dialog box appers.

Step-5: Click on add test and select the file in which you need to detect then click on run test.

c) The clashes are visible in red colour we can approve clashes which are perfect then we see the images the colour turns to green.

d) We can neglect the clashes which will not cause any disturbance to the project.
e) We can resolve the clashes which can change the boundary conditions we can exclude these clashes from detective test
f) Once the clashes are mentioned we can save the file by selecting save as.
g) Now we can annotate and save the place where we can see the clashes and can viewed personally and will be rectified.

With the help of above steps we can able to detect the clashes in the model and we can resolve the problem file to the design engineer.

5) Using the Timeliner feature in Navisworks prepare a schedule for the project developed in week 6 to 8 by adding reasonable assumptions for task start date and end date and simulate the task completion as a visual simulation. Record it and save the timeline simulation to Navisworks file.
ANS.
Step1: Open the structural file in the naviswork manage.
Step2: Click on the timeliner in the home.

Step3: The Timeliner box appers in the bottom. Click on selection tree to select and add them to the timeline.

Step4: We can add the actual and planned start and end dates.

Step5: After finishing filling all the details in the timeliner click on the stimulate.

With the help of above steps we can prepare a schee for the project developed week 6 to 8 by adding reasonable like task start date and end date and stimulate the task completion as a visual simulation and recorded and saved the timeliner simulation to the naviswork file successfully.
