Usage of Navigation tool , Timeliner and Clash Detection test using Naviswork
1) Use the Architecture/ Structure Project file developed by you in weeks 6 to 8. Export the Revit architecture and structure model to the Navisworks Cache file following the export settings discussed in class
ANSWER=
AIM: To Export the Revit architecture model to the Navisworks Cache file following the export settings discussed in class
PROCEDURE:
1. So first open the particular file to which you have to export the navies work
2. Go to the file tab then select export and then opt for the NWC option in that

3. Save it in the particular location in your PC

4. let it get exported

5. Hence the file is exported in the navis work
RESULT:
Scussefully exporting is done

2) Use Navigate Tool to walk around the model and walk through the rooms created and record your moving as animation in your Navisworks file
ANSWER=
AIM: To Use Navigate Tool to walk around the model and walk through the rooms created and record your moving as animation in your Navisworks file
PROCEDURE:
1. Turn on the Navis software and now turn on the architectural file
2. Go into the viewpoint tap and opt for the viewpoint option
3. And then do the necessary working
4. Save every view as you walk by
Result :
With the help of navigate tool, we have created a walk through to rooms and recorded moving as animation in the Navisworks file.

3) Use Navigate tool to use the Realism feature to walk through the model and record your moving as animation in the Navisworks file
ANSWER=
AIM: To Use Navigate tool to use the Realism feature to walk through the model and record your moving as animation in the Navisworks file
PROCEDURE:
1.
1. Turn on the Navis software and now turn on the architectural file
2. Go into the viewpoint tap and opt for the Realism ( third party)option
3. And then do the necessary working
4. Save every view as you walk by
RESULT:
With the help of the Navigation tool, we have used the realistic features to walk through the model and recorded our movings as animation in the Naviswork file

4) Embed both architecture and structure *.nwc file to your Navisworks file. Create a clash detection test between the two models
a. Run the Clash Detection Test
b. Study the clashes between the two models
c. List which of the clashes could be approved
d. List which of the clashes could be neglected ( will be taken care of later)
e. List which of the clashes can be resolved
f. Save the results after color coding the clashes to the Navisworks file
g. In case of resolution annotate the clash and save the view to defined views in Navisworks
ANSWER=
AIM: To determine the clash detection test
PROCEDURE:
- Once load and open the structure and architecture files, we can start the clash test.
- Then Go to the home menu and select clash detective, Clash detective dialog box appears

- Click on add test option.
- Then select the files which we want to test then click on run test.

-
clashes can be approved as part of the construction, these clashes will not appear anymore. it turns into green color once we click approve

6. clashes can be resolved which can change model boundary conditions, these clashes can be excluded from the detective test.
7. Once we change all the clashes we can save the Navisworks file. Now, this file is ready and can be sent for review.
8. we can annotate and save the place where we can clash are visible and viewed personally and will be rectified by the design engineer.
RESULT:
We have successfully performed the clash detection test where we can resolve the problems and send the file to the design engineer for corrections.
5) Using the Timeliner feature in Navisworks prepare a schedule for the project developed in weeks 6 to 8 by adding reasonable assumptions for the task start date and end date and simulate the task completion as a visual simulation. Record it and save the timeline simulation to the Navisworks file
ANSWER=
AIM: To Use the Timeliner feature in Navisworks prepare a schedule for the project
PROCEDURE:
1. Open your Navis work
2. Import the Architecture file
3. For making a schedule option we have a time liner tool under the home tab
4. just click the timeline

5. Now enable the selection tree option, So we would know what are all the work we have to assign

6. Now go to the add task option
7. Add the task as per the construction procedure
8. Determine the dates that are Planned Start and end & Actual start and end

9. And attached is the selection to their respective work

10. In order to watch the video for construction run on simulation
11. The simulation begins and we can see the construction from the starting date to ending date in the form of video.

RESULT:
We have used the timeline feature in navisworks to prepare a schedule for the project developed in previous weeks and added some reasonable assumptions for the task like start date and end date and simulated the task completion as a visual simulation and saved the timeline simulation to the Navisworks file
