Under body coating protects the car from the corrosion to cars underbody it also protects the cars internal body like panels frame rails and other inner cavities that are physically accessible by are prone to corrosion.The more the under body coating better the performance of the car.

The Under body coating of the car is measured by using the thickness measuring instrument called has Elcometer.

The composition is analysed using the Nilxon LXT

Under Body sealant is also used in the cars after the under body coating

For Example : Let us take the cars the ford figo and toyato etios and let us compare the difference between the two under bodu coating

The Rear area of Etios under body coating is 30-32 Micro meters and ford figo is 400-700 Micro meters

The Front Filler of Etios Under Body coating is 20 Micro meters and Ford Figo is 665 Micro metres

In Both the cars the differences is that Ford figo had more under body coating when compared to Etios,There can be possibilites that in some countries like UK and US the under body coating should be more or all over the body then only the government will approve the car in keeping the countries like that Ford has decided the standard undercoating that can be accepted all over in all countires even though the price of the car likely to go high,but can advertise that ford figo has strong under body coating that has more corrosive resistance so that the life of the car BIW likely to increase. and can get more points when compared to Etios
