Structural analysis of a buidling using Robot Structural Analysis
Ans.1.
HVAC systems :-
HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
HVAC refers to the different systems used for moving air between indoor and outdoor areas, along with heating and cooling both residential and commercial buildings.
They are the systems that keep us warm and cozy in the winter and feeling cool and fresh in the summer.
They also are the systems that filter and clean indoor air to keep us healthy and maintain humidity levels at optimal comfort levels.
They are essential in the modelling of building due to the following reasons :-
HVAC systems control the overall climate in the building. They also make the proper adjustments whenever we experience changes in outdoor temperature.
During the winter season, the HVAC systems work to keep the indoor temperature at a comfortable level. In hotter times of the season, the HVAC systems regulate air temperature by providing the necessary cooling to keep the entire building comfortable.
Having a comfortable office climate increases the level of productivity and increases morale amongst the workers and employees.
HVAC systems not only regulate the temperature inside the building, they also improve the quality of air.
The quality of air pertains to humidity, and a typical HVAC system will reduce the amount of humidity in the air.
Proper HVAC systems are a worthy investment for any business or building owner because it gives us energy savings also.
HVAC systems today are automated, which means we no longer have to manually adjust the temperature settings or the time settings of each machine.
Automated HVAC systems can also sense when workers or employees are no longer in the building. It will then automatically decrease the amount of energy used to maintain proper indoor temperatures.

RESULT :-
Hence robot Structure Analysis tool has been added to our software with the help of the plugin
ANS.4.
The objective of analysis of stability of a structure is to determine the loads on a structure, which leads to presence of new forms of equilibrium.
The objective of analysis of a structure from the viewpoint of its stiffness is the determination of the displacements at specified points of a structure as a result of external exposures.
The objective of analysis of a structure from the viewpoint of its vibration is to determine the frequencies and correlative shapes of the vibration.
These data are necessary for analysis of the forced vibration caused by loads like earthquake, windetc.
Analysis of any structure is based on some assumptions. These assumptions consider the purpose and features of the structure, type of loads and operating conditions, properties of materials, etc.
The objective of analysis of a structure from the viewpoint of its strength is calculating internal forces, which will arise in all members of a structure as a result of external exposures.

AIM :-
To export the analytical model which we have created earlier in our project and also to do the robot Structure Analysis of the attached file with different conditions.
INTRODUCTION :-
Go to revit software and then open the file which you want to attach.
Here I am opening the structural file which we have created earlier in our project

As you can see the file has been opened

Now select the appropriate beams and columns and create the structural beams and structural column for the model

After that go to the analyse tab and then click on the load option which is available there

Then the Ribbon tab will be changed and then select the appropriate load which you want to give in the model
Here I have selected the area load

Then select the method which you want to place the load in the model

After selecting the model click on the finish option to create the area load boundary

Then again go to the analyse tab where you will find out the load cases option click on that

Then the dialogue box will open where you can delete all the previous load that have been present in the software and enter the type of load which you want to give

Then go to the load combination option to provide the combination of loads in your building

Then provide the required formula which you want to give and required combination which you want to enter in your project

Hence the analytical model will look like this

Now to draw the analytical members go to the analyse tab again where you will find a member option

After clicking on the member option there occurs two different types of method to draw the beams and column analytical member

Click on the top point definition and draw all the columns

Then for same procedure for drawing the beams click on the start and point definition

And hence draw the beams
The columns and beams drawn will look like this in the analytical model now

After that go to the boundary condition option on the analyse tab and click on that

Then select the type of load which you want to provide
Click on the point option to proceed

Hence boundary loads have been provided.

Now to do the robot structural analysis
Go to the analyse tab where you will find out the robot structural analysis link

After clicking on that there open a new dialogue box and then click on the send model option

Now open your robot analysis software any will see the model

Now go to the edit option in click on select option available there

Now select the three points which we are given in a new dialogue box and then close the dialogue box

After that go to the load option and choose the type of load combination you want to provide

Then go to the manual combination as you have provided early at the load combination in our previous project model only

After doing so go to the analysis tab where you will find the calculation option
Click on the calculation option and hence your model will be calculated as per your design

After the calculation has been done then go to the result tab where you will find the diagrams for member option
Click on that

On diagram for members option go to the reactions and then select the things which you want to have as the result of your model

RESULT :-
hence our model has been analysed by the help of the robot Structure Analysis and hence the export of model is also successful.
After the analysis of our model we got a fair idea to how to analyse our structural model which we have created and hence it gives us the results in the form of calculations through which we can find out the load movement stress which are acting upon avar building or model.

ENERGY ANALYSIS :-
Energy analysis provide designers with the ability to analyze the performance of their designs, leading to more-efficient buildings and sustainable practices
Energy analysis is the most common method for evaluating energy conversion systems.
It is based on the first law of the thermodynamics that is expression of conversion of the energy.
This analysis makes an energy balance for any energy conversion system and usage of the energy source while losses can be determined.
It is the process of analyzing a building's energy performance by calculating how well the integration of that building's form, systems, and envelope perform under the surrounding environmental conditions.
Factor of sustainability improves the quality of design in following steps :-
Sustainable design seeks to reduce negative impacts on the environment, and the health and comfort of building occupants, thereby improving building performance.
The basic objectives of sustainability are to reduce consumption of non-renewable resources, minimize waste, and create healthy, productive environments.
Sustainable design principles include the ability to:
optimize site potential
minimize non-renewable energy consumption
use environmentally preferable products
protect and conserve water
enhance indoor environmental quality
optimize operational and maintenance practices.
Utilizing a sustainable design philosophy encourages decisions at each phase of the design process that will reduce negative impacts on the environment and the health of the occupants, without compromising the bottom line.
It is an integrated approach that encourages compromise and tradeoffs. Such an integrated approach positively impacts all phases of a building's life-cycle, including design, construction.
