Sketch a G+1 residential plan according to Vaastu Shastra and Calculation of Loads as per IS code
Aim-To prepare a G+1 floor residential plan, according to vaastu shastra and calculate loads.
Introduction-In this we are going to see a plan according to vaastu shastra. Where should be kitchen, living room etc.
Assume, Area=286 sq.m
Column size=0.25*0.25m
Beam size=0.25m*0.23m
Wall thickness=0.25m, wall height=4m
Slab thickness=0.15m
Procedure-
1)Dead load calculations
DL on Column=volume of Column*unit wt of concrete
=0.25*0.25*4*25
=6.25 KN
DL on beam=volume of beam*unit wt of concrete
=0.25*0.23*4*0.25
=5.75 KN
DL on slab=thickness of slab*unit wt of concrete
=0.15*25
=3.75 KN
DL on wall=volume of wall*unit wt of masonary
=4*4*0.25*20
=80 KN
2)Live load calculations
Living room=2 KN/m^2
Kitchen=2 KN/m^2
Bed room=2 KN/m^2
Terrace=3 KN/m^2
3)Wind load
Height of building is less than 10m so here wind load doesnt applied
4)List of drawing required to be provided to site for construction
-Center line drawing
-Footing and column layout with r.f details
-Column shedule with r/f details
-Plinth beam layout with r/f details
-1st floor beam layout with r/f details
-1st floor slab layout with r/f details
Result-
So this how we can draw a G+1 residential plan according to vaastu shastra.
