OBJECTIVE : 1. To create Front Roof Rail, Bow Roofs, Central Roof Rail and Rear Roof Rail.
2. To Calculate the Sectional Modulus of Each Component.
3. To Perform Draft Analysis
INTRODUCTION:
Roofs are an essential part of the Automobile. It provides protection to the passengers from all kind of natural disturbances. It also protects their head from any kind of direct damage that can occur through foreign materials. The Design of the roof is done to dissipate heat across the body, shift the impact force away from the body and have a criteria of snow loading.

HEAT DISTORTION STUDY
It plays an important role in sheet metal functioning. It is a temperature above which the limit material cannot be used for structural applications.
This study specifically states the condition under a fixed load which starts softening the material. This study predicts the appropriate bow roof position for minimum bending of the roof.
SNOW LOAD PREDICTION CRITERIA
The snowload criteria stands for the cars which are sold in cold regions. This formula predicts the stiffness of the roof to whitstand the accumulation of snow on the roof.
CONCLUSION : The desing of the roof assembly was successful. The Heat distortion and Snow load calculation is also successful with the appropriate results.
