Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht

Modeling of Sunseeker Predator Yacht

OBJECTIVE :

To model every part of the Sunseeker Predator Yacht and make an assembly of it and to create photo-realistic renders of the Sunseeker Predator Yacht using Solidworks.

INTRODUCTION :

This project is about modeling parts of the Sunseeker Predator Yacht and assembling it using Solidworks and rendering the 3D model using Solidworks Photoview 360 or Solidworks visualize.

DESIGN METHODOLOGY :

FLOW CHART :

MODELING :

PROPELLER :

Propeller is used to push the Yacht against the water and to navigate across the ocean. Commands used to model the propeller are Spline, Circle, Line, Revolve, Loft, Extrude, Reference Plane, Circular Pattern, and Fillet.

RADAR :

Radar(Radio Detection And Ranging) is used to detect other ships and land obstacles, and to provide bearing and distance for collision avoidance and navigation at sea. It transmits radio waves and after hitting any object the waves are reflected and absorbed by the transmitter. By calculating the sending and receiving time it calculates the distance of the object. Commands used to model RADAR are Line, Text, Circle, Point, Extrude boss, Extrude Cut, Fillet, Mirror, and Split line.

BluePrint Setup :

The BluePrints of the front, back, top, bottom, and side views of the Sunseeker Predator Yacht are placed correctly in the Solidworks for further modeling of the Sunseeker Predator Yacht.

HULL :

Hull is the base of the Yacht which is a watertight body so that it will not sink. It contains a garage where we can park our 2-wheeler or 4-wheeler. The hull of a ship is an important part of the ship. It is the watertight enclosure of the ship, which protects the cargo, machinery, and accommodation spaces of the ship from the weather, flooding, and structural damage. Commands used to model Hull are Line, Spline, Circle, Rectangle, Arc, Slot,3-D Sketch, Sketch picture, Extruded Surface, Revolved Surface, Lofted Surface, Surface Trim, Surface Fill, Surface Knit, Delete Face, Project Curve, Chamfer, Fillets, Reference Plane, Split, Split Line, Extruded BossBase, Extruded Cut, Mirror.

GARAGE DOOR :

The garage door closes the garage and safeguards your automobiles. Commands used to model Garage door are Line, Spline, Circle, Text, Extruded Cut, Reference Plane, Fillet, Shell, and Mirror.

SEATS :

There are three seatings in our yacht front, middle and rear seat. They are used to getting rest. Commands used for modeling of seats are SketchPicture, Line, Spline, Circle, Arcs, Extruded Surface, Lofted Surface, Trim Surface, Filled Surface, Knit Surface, Swept Surface, Revolved Surface, Extruded Cut, Revolved Boss/Base, Chamfer, Fillet, Mirror, Dome.

SUPERSTRUCTURE :

The superstructure is the cabin where the entire control of the Yacht is placed. It is like a head to the Yacht. Commands used to model the Superstructure are Sketch Picture, 3D Sketch, Line, Spline, Circle, Rectangle, Center Point Arc, Extruded Surface, Swept Surface, Ruled Surface, Knit Surface, Trim Surface, Extend Surface, Filled Surface, Lofted Surface, Revolved Surface, Fillet, Chamfer, Project Curve, Reference Curve, Convert Entities, Split, Split Line.

RADAR MAST :

It is the complete assembly of the radar system which protects from harmful things. It gives us the Forecast of the weather. It also contains the horns of the Yacht. Commands used for modeling of RADAR Mast are Sketch Picture, Line, Spline, Rectangle, Arcs, Extruded Boss/Base, Lofted Boss/Base, Revolved Boss/Base, Swept Boss/Base, Reference Plane, Projected Curve, Fillet, Mirror, Dome, Shell.

ASSEMBLY :

It is the complete view of our Yacht. All the above-mentioned parts are joined together in this assembly. For assembling the parts we use the Mate command.

RENDERING:

The photorealistic views of the Yacht are rendered using Photoview 360 / Solidworks Visualize.
