Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht
Modelling and Assembly of Yacht Using solidworks
OBJECTIVE: - To model and assembly of Yacht in solidworks 2021 and Create rendering image using Photoview 360.
INTRODUCTION: - This project report is about the Yacht. How I created the components and assembling it by using solidworks. Rendering in Photoview 360.
SOLIDWORKS: - Version used for creating this Yacht.
- SOLIDWORKS 2021
- PHOTO VIEW 360
DESIGN METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: -
DESCRIPTION OF TOOLS AND FEATURES THAT ARE USED WHILE CREATING YACHT
- BLUEPRINT SETUP: - Blueprint referece are used to sketch model

- PROPELLER: - A propeller is a rotating fan-like structure which is used to propel the ship by using the power generated and transmitted by the main engine of the ship

Featured used to create Propeller
- Revolve
- Loft
- Fillet
- Circular pattern
- Revolve – It Create a sketchthat contains one or more profiles and a centerline to use as the axis around which the feature revolves.
- Lofted Surface - Loft Surfaces are surfaces generated by multiple 3D Curves or existing edges creating a smooth tangency between the selected curves
- Fillet – Fillets are used to convert edges into round corners. It can used in 2D & 3D format.
- Circular patter- A circular pattern is a radial array of objects around a Center point in a sketch. Axis in a partor assembly. Used to create a circular patter around the circular path reference.
- RADAR: - Radar will show what is around the boat, seeing through darkness, precipitation and poor visibility. Whether you're crossing a busy shipping channel in thick fog, looking for squalls offshore, or identifying a harbour entrance in the dark, Radar offers a significant aid to navigation and safety.

Featured used to create Radar
- Boss extrude
- Fillet
- Cut extrude
- Mirror
- Sketch pattern
- Split line
- Boss Extrude – It is used for convert 2D into 3D object. Moreover, Direction of extrude can be in both the directions.
- Extrude Cut – It used to remove material at desired shape and it also used in both the directions.
- Mirror – It is used to create a copy of existing geometry or body on the preselected profile.
- Sketch pattern – It is used to pattern the sketch drawn in multiple needs.
- Split line – It is used to split the faces into multiple faces using the sketch.
- HULL: - It is the major portion of the yacht. And this part were used lot of features to create the hull.

Featured used to create Hull
- Projected curve
- Surface loft
- Surface extrude
- Surface trim
- Surface knit
- Shell
- Boss extrude
- Cut extrude
- Fillet
- Sweep
- Chamfer
- Dome
- Helix/spiral
- Linear pattern
- Revolve
- Surface offset
- Mirror
- Projected Curve – It is a 3D curve, which obtained by creating two or more sketches on different planes.
- Surface Loft – It used to create loft surface between two or more profiles
- Surface extrude – it is used to create the closed surface by using just a single sketch
- Surface Trim – It used to remove material from the surfaces.
- Surface Knit - It is a tool that can combine two or more surface into one
- Shell – The shell tool hollows out a part, leaves open the faces you select, and creates thin-walled features on the remaining faces
- Sweep – A tool create a solid or surface feature by sweeping closed loop sketch along the selected path.
- Boss Extrude – It is used for convert 2D into 3D object. Moreover, Direction of extrude can be in both the directions.
- Sketch pattern – It is used to pattern the sketch drawn in multiple needs.
- Chamfer – It used to create a flat surface on the edges
- Dome - It creates a dome on the curve surface of the profile.
- Helix/spiral – It is used to create spring like structure.
- Linear Pattern – It used tocreate multiple instances of one or more features that you can space uniformly along one or two linear paths.
- Surface offset – It creates a new surface body from an existing set of faces.
After complete modelling the hull part.we use the decal for the good appearance on the deck surface.
- GARAGE DOOR: - while modelling the hull part a particular portion is removed for garage door by using extrude cut.

- FRONT SEAT: - The seat gives the yacht more looking awesome and looking luxurious.

Featured used to create Front Seat
- Surface sweep
- Surface extrude
- Surface fill
- Surface trim
- Surface loft
- Surface knit
- Chamfer
- Revolve
- Cut extrude
- Cut extrude- thin
- Fillet
- Mirror
- Dome
- Surface Sweep – Surface sweep are surfaces that are generated from a section curve positioned along a path.
- Surface Fill – Surface fill used to fill the gap between the two or more surfaces.
- Cut extrude – thin - This feature allows us to cut in one direction, from the midplane, or in two separate directions
- MIDDLE SEAT: - The seat gives the yacht more looking awesome and looking luxurious.

Featured used to create Middle Seat
- Boss extrude
- Chamfer
- Fillet
- Mirror
- Cut Extrude
- REAR SEAT: - After modelling the front and middle seat, its time to create the rear seat.

Featured used to create Rear Seat
- Surface sweep
- Surface offset
- Surface trim
- Ruled surface
- Surface knit
- Surface extend
- Surface loft
- Surface fill
- Boss extrude
- Cut extrude
- Chamfer
- Fillet
- Sweep
- Mirror
- Ruled Surface – creates surfaces that extend out in a specified direction from selected edges.
- Surface extend – It extend a surface by selecting an edge, multiple edges, or a face.
- SUPERSTRUCTURE OF YACHT : -

Featured used to create Superstructure
- Surface extrude
- Surface sweep

- Thicken surface
- Sweep
- Dome
- Split line
- Mirror
- Chamfer
- Fillet
- 3D Sketch - 3D sketch tool creates geometry by using points, lines, splines and any other sketchable shape to define a profile
- Thicken surface - This features use predetermined surface features or quilt geometryto either add or remove thin material sections in designs.
- RADAR MAST : - The radar mast guides the yacht during the travelling in the sea.

Featured used to create Superstructure
- Boss extrude
- Revolve
- Fillet
- Sweep
- Mirror
- Curve projection
- Chamfer
- ASSEMBLY: -
It is a process of assembly of all the components into one place. By using mate and give the perfect relations between the parts and plane. After assembling, give some decals and did some rendering and make the complete YACHT.
