Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

ANS(1)

a) Battery

b) Starter

c) Generator

d) Ignition Coil

e) Fuse

f) Breaker

g) Ammeter

h) Current and Voltage Regulator

i) Distributor

j) Foot Selector Switch

ANS(2)

Fuse: If an appliance malfunctions or a close circuit results in an excessive current flow, a wire inside the fuse melts to break the circuit. By doing so, it protects the wiring and appliances from any high current changes.

Battery: One or more electrochemical cells with external connections for powering electrical devices make up a battery, which is a source of electric power. A battery's positive terminal functions as the cathode and its negative terminal as the anode while it is supplying electricity.

Generator: An electric generator is a machine that transforms mechanical energy from an outside source into electrical energy.

ANS(3)

Given,

Total load(I)= 10A

From Hint: Battery Voltage= 12 V

We know, Power(P)= V*I

P=12V*10A

P=120W

Fuse Rating, I= (P*1.5)/V

I= (120*1.5)/14.5

I=15A

To avoid short circuit , fuse rating should be greater than total load.

ANS(4)

given ,

I= 10A (previous question)

P= 500W

we know,

P= V*I

V=P/I

V=500/10

V=50V

Then, Capacity(C)= I*T

Assume , Time= 1 h

C=10* 1

C= 10Ah

ANS(5)

Horn : High and low tones are alternated in parallel, and the primary sound frequencies of these signals are harmoniously combined.

All Lights: In a parallel circuit, each light has its own circuit. The sum of the separate currents is the overall current. Each light uses the same voltage. In a parallel circuit, the other lights continue to illuminate even if one light malfunctions, unlike in a series circuit.

ANS(6)

Battery : To increase the driveability and energy efficiency, batteries are connected in series with high voltage.

Ammeter: Connected in series to measure the amount of current flowing in the main circuit.
