Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

1.) Battery, Starter, Current and Voltage Regulator, Generator, Distributor, Breaker, Junction Block, Foot Selector Switch , Ammeter .

2.) Battery :

Battery is a collection of cells inside chemical reactions occuring in the cells of a battery result in the flow of electricity in a circuit .

The purpose of battery is powers the ignition system, because it has the power source and it acts as an alternator. And it is used in many fields for its need.

Generator :

The generator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy for transmission. The purpose of electric generator used in modern automobiles to charge the battery and to power the electrical system when its engine is running.

Fuse :

It is a safety device for protecting the circuit and the operator. It melts when an excess current flows through it.

3.) The total load is 10A , we have a 12V battery,

A fuse rating is the current need to blow(break) the fuse. The fuse is rated at 125% of the normal operating Current.

First we want Power P = V * I

P = 12 * 10 = 120 Watts

Fuse rating I = ( P / V ) * 1.25

Fuse Rating = ( 120 / 12 ) * 1.25 = 12.5 Amps

4.) If 500 W is the load , Normally we make 100 V 5 A battery in a simple way ,

But we have a 12V battery,

We know that , Capacity = load * time = Power * time

For 24 hr , Capacity = 500 * 24 = 12000 Whr .

We want capacity in Ah , Ah = Whr / Volt

= 12000 / 1000 = 1000 Ah

5.) From the above image the Generator and the Current and Voltage Regulator is connected in parallel.

6.) From the above image Battery and Starter are connected in series because same current flows through them.
