Objective :

Route the Wiring harness on Given car body and Prepare flatten view drawing in CATIA V5. Application of all Packaging rules, Industry best practices studied in this course shall be demonstrated in design. Apply Protection coverings as required.

Prepare & Submit all necessary reports like clearance, Clipping/Clamping selection, Harness fixing requirements, Harness continuity, Assumptions if any along with CATIA 3D data.

Answer:

Imported the reat door part and hid many parts for visibilty .

Created a hole 10mm Radius for inserting grommet and the wiring harness .

Inserted and positioned a 14 pin connector and a grommet for the access of harness to the rear door assembly as well as protection from sharp edges .

Positioned various connectors for the following

1. Rear viper

2. Tail lamp LH and RH

3. Number plate lighting .

Inserted and positioned fur tree clips at all desired location and routed the harness .

Since there are no dynamic parts or any tubes/hoses in the rear door assembly ,

Minimum clearance of 10 mm was maintained at all points form static parts .

Cot tubes were provided along the entire length of harness for additional protection .

Minimum clearance between 2 branching points were kept approximately 50 mm .

Harness was flattened and synchronised .

2D Drawing was created from the flattened view .
