Project 1 Mechanical design of battery pack
Battery pack capacity: 18 kWh
Cell: ANR26650M1-B
Prepare a detailed battery pack drawing along with its enclosure.

High-performance Nanophosphate® lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery technology delivers high power and energy density combined with excellent safety performance and extensive life cycling in a lighter weight, more compact package. Our cells have low capacity loss and impedance growth over time as well as high usable energy over a wide state of charge (SOC) range, allowing our systems to meet end-of-life power and energy requirements with minimal pack oversizing.

Cell Configuration:
Given
Battery capacity : 18KWh
For the given cell,
The capacity of a single cell is 3.3*2.5=8.25 Wh
Let us assume the overall battery voltage is 400V.
For finding the configuration,
Number of cells connected in series is
ns=400/3.3
ns =122 Series connected cells
The overall capacity is 18000Wh.
Overall current capacity=18000/400
=45Ah
Number of parallel connected cells is
np=45/2.5
np=18 Parallel connected cells.
The overall configuration is series connected * Parallel connected cells.
- 122* 18= 2196 cells should be connected.
The configurations can be as Series connected modules or Parallel connected modules.
