Project 1 : CFD Meshing for Tesla Cyber Truck
Aim: To clean up and mesh a computational domain for an external flow analysis of a Tesla Cyber Truck.
Methodology:
1. We first delete half of the tesla model and clean up only 1 half as they are symmetric.
2. Cut option is used to "hide" the coons for the meshing in the tires.
3. A target length of 10 mm was chosen for the tesla cyber truck.
4. Mesh quality parameters were: Minimum length-5mm, Maximum Length-10mm & Skewness - 0.9.
5. The outer domain was created with a width of 10 L, Length of 16 L & Height of 5L. Where L is the length of the cyber truck ~6m. It was created with the help of Relative points to define the points and the curves to join the created points and the New option in faces to generate the macros/surfaces.
6. We have identified only 1 Volume, the external portion of the cyber truck using the Auto-Detect feature in Volumetric Mesh Deck.
7. A target length of 350 mm was used for the enclosure.
8. In total there are 15,54,090 elements of which ~11,00,000 are cyber truck surface mesh.
9. Images are shown below for illustration.

PIDs are assigned for the various regions of the domain.

Conclusion:
The given model was successfully cleaned up and mesh with a suitable target length with a total cell count of about 15 Lakh.
