Challenge

Project 1

1. Seat Upper:

For creating the seat upper the foremost thing that need to be done from the IGS file that is provided as an input as an surface is to create the STO file(In this case we've got provided with dump solid of seat back and head rest so we'll have to creatte STO).

2. The next thing is to create the H-point which is 40mm above from the base and 20mm offset from the STO surface and to that we need to create the Torso Line(passing through H-Point) which should be parallel to the STO back surface.

3. The Planes are created over the torso Line which are 100mm apart from each other.

4. To create the back foam we need some reference and for that we create Intersections using the above planes that were created on torso lines

5. Now by using those Intersections we need to create the sketch for a line Project them(construct them so that they work as a reference)and create an offset of 5mm under.

Because to create the Insert we will be using the UNDER BUILT CONCEPT

6. Once the Insert is created the next part for the back seat is the wings which will be follow the OVER BUILD CONCEPT.

Now by using those Intersections we need to create the sketch for a Spline Project them(construct them so that they work as a reference)and create an offset of 2mm over. By using symmetry we will mirror it by using the Mid-Plane on the other side of the Plane.

7. Now to enclose the Back seat we need to create Sides by using the same intersections.

8. Now once all the part of seat are sketched we need to Extrapolate the required parts and Trim them. Also by using the edge fillet we need to smoothen the surface.

9. Create a solid Body part

2) Seat Lower: Following the same procedure like seat upper we can do it for Seat lower.
